Passage Brief
Tahiti, in the Society Islands archipelago is the largest island in French Polynesia. Formed of two extinct volcanoes and has a rich and diverse cultural heritage. As we set sail we will pass through the Nanuu Bay lagoon with its rich marine life. Then beyond the reef into the open ocean where possibly from time to time a pod or two of Spinner Dolphins, may accompany us..

Prevailing conditions along this route will see us moving along comfortably in the South Pacific Trades on a beam reach with a close watch for squall activity. Expect plenty of action from Spinnaker and Mizzen Staysail down to a reef or two and back again. Along with some awesome fishing.

Join us a we spend two weeks, sailing 1565 nm to Nuku’alofa, in The Kingdom of Tonga, an archipelago of around 170 islands, 36 of which are inhabited which will provide another amazing vista as we near land. in
Fringed by a lagoon, it is famed for its underwater life and so is a popular scuba diving and snorkelling destination. We will step ashore to tell our tale and fulfil our mission of adventures in paradise.
During this passage will be crossing the International Date Line on the approach and actually lose a day..
