Passage Brief
Raratonga is the largest and most populated of the 15 main Cook Islands. The Cook Islands were formed by volcanic activity and are a mix of mountainous volcanic islands, coral atolls and reefs. From this island paradise we will then set sail the 870 nautical miles to the Kingdom of Tonga.

Prevailing conditions along this route will see us moving along comfortably in the South Pacific Trades on a beam reach with a close watch for squall activity. Expect plenty of action from Spinnaker and Mizzen Staysail down to a reef or two and back again. Along with some awesome fishing.

After just over a week at sea, we will arrive in The Kingdom of Tonga, an archipelago of around 170 islands, 36 of which are inhabited. We will be crossing the International Date Line on the approach and actually lose a day..
